2 Oz. Bottle Now Available!

Oct 10, 2011

Well, after a few months of deliberation and working out details, we now have a 2 oz. bottle of Oregon Truffle Oil available for purchase.  The store page shows the prices for 1, 2, 5 and 12 bottles.

We decided to make the 2 oz. bottle available for a few different reasons:

1. Price point.  Hopefully, the smaller bottle and lower price will entice more people to give Oregon Truffle Oil a try and consequently do a better job of "spreading the gospel" of Oregon truffles!

2. Travelers.  When weekenders come to the wine country for a quick get-away, they don't always check luggage.  The 2 oz. bottle allows these folks to stash their new-found treasure in their carry-on luggage and not worry about getting it confiscated at airport security.

3. Gifts/gift baskets.  I don't know about you, but $20 is about what I like to pay when I'm buying a gift for a friend or some family members.  Now, for $20 you get two 2 oz. bottles of Oregon Truffle Oil.  One for you and one for your friend!  Also, this size bottle makes much more sense for gift baskets.

There ya go.  The 2 oz. bottle is now available.  It contains the same quality product as the 5 oz., but just...smaller.

…though many producers augment their product (truffle oil) with a chemical compound that mimics the truffles’ taste and aroma, making for a more potent but less refined taste. WE PREFER THE PURER CHARACTER OF ALL-NATURAL OILS LIKE THE JOEL PALMER HOUSE OREGON WHITE TRUFFLE OIL, WHICH CONTAINS THE ESSENCE OF OREGON TRUFFLES (It’s the ONLY truffle oil currently sold in this country containing domestically grown truffles).
